Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
Environmental Site Assessments (ESA’s) are conducted to assist our customers with making informed decisions on the Environmental Liability associated with a specific property.
A Phase II Environmental Site Assessment is undertaken when a Phase I ESA determines the likelihood of site contamination.
The Phase II is an “intrusive” investigation in which original soil, groundwater or building material samples are collected and submitted to analyze for quantitative values of various contaminants.
Characterization of substances may range from simple identification to full delineation of the on-site contamination.
The Phase II process results in providing definitive information about the present site conditions and will assist customers with making informed decisions regarding property transactions, financing site purchase or redevelopment.
GEM follows accredited Canadian and provincial standards in accordance for the completion of all ESA’s.
